As different sections of the executive arm of the Federal Government are now defending the 2017 budget proposals before the National Assembly, new details are emerging on the continuation of the Social Investment Programmes, (SIP)of the Buhari presidency, including a plan to hire 350,000 more unemployed graduates under the N-Power Volunteer Corps.

Notorious Abubakar Shekau Kills Boko Haram’s Spokesman Over ‘leadership Plot’

Leader of Boko Haram’s main faction, Abubakar Shekau, has admitted killing the sect's purported spokesman over an apparent plot to oust him, he said in an audio recording obtained by AFP.
In the 50-minute tape of a meeting with the inner circle of his militant Islamist group, Shekau said he killed “Tasiu” - also known as Abu Zinnira - who appeared in several video messages.

Pastor sentenced to 20 years in jail for defiling a 13-year-old girl

A Ghanaian pastor from Domeabra in the Ga West Municipal Assembly has been sentenced to 20 years in prison with hard labour for defiling a 13-year-old girl. The pastor identified as Vincent Kete pleaded guilty to defiling the daughter of his friend of 25 years.
