Founder of 'world's cheapest smartphone' firm arrested over fraud allegation

Mohit Goel, the director of Ringing Bells, the Indian firm which claimed to be selling the world’s cheapest smartphone, has been arrested on allegations of fraud.
The Indian Police Service arrested him after one of the phone’s distributors claimed it had not received handsets it had paid for.

Chef sentenced to life in prison after he confessed to delivering the savage blows that killed his heiress girlfriend

Jordan Matthews, 24, a pub chef, has been sentenced to life in prison for the death of his girlfriend, Xixi Bi, who died after being savagely brutalized by him at their flat in Llandaff, Cardiff, UK.

Plane Crashes Into Australian Shopping Mall, Five Dead

Five people have been reported dead after a small plane crashed into a shopping mall in Australia on Monday afternoon. Four of the people killed were United States citizens.
Emergency officials in Melbourne say engine failure brought down the Beechcraft King Air plane, which witnesses said caused a fireball to rise from the DFO Center, near Essendon Airport. Both the mall and airport were closed as officials conducted an investigation.

Veteran wrestler, Ivan Koloff otherwise called The Russian Bear who wrestled to fame for years as a supreme villain, has died. 74-year-old Koloff was a former WWF World Heavyweight champion who had been battling liver cancer.

Rosie Ayliffe, the mother of slain British backpacker, Mia Ayliffe-Chung, who was stabbed to death in Queensland in August along with fellow backpacker Tom Jackson, has taken to Twitter to post a scathing letter to U.S President Donald Trump after the White House this week listed her death among 78 terrorist related deaths under-reported by the mainstream media.

Jakarta, Indonesia-based Nigerian businessman, who was shot dead by a Police Inspector two days to his wedding was laid to rest on Jan. 28th, in his hometown, Egbuoma, in Oguta L.G.A of Imo state.

Knife-wielding man attacks 11 children after scaling fence of a nursery in China

A man wielding a knife went on a rampage in a nursery school in China and attacked a group of children. According to Chinese media reports, the yet-to-be identified 41-year-old man scaled a wall and attacked 11 children at the school located in Pingxiang, a city in the southern region of Guangxi. He claimed he was there to pick up his son but allegedly climbed a wall to enter the facility.

Gunmen attack Bahrain prison, kill policeman, frees ten alleged terrorists

Gunmen on Sunday, January 1, attacked a prison in Bahrain killing a policeman and freeing 10 inmates convicted of terror offences.
Bahrain's Ministry of Interior said in a statement that the attack on the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre in Jau, south of the capital Manama, was carried out by a terrorist cell consisting of four or five members who were armed with automatic rifles and pistols.

After Mom loses two babies in a year, she does the most generous contribution with her breast milk

After suffering the loss of two babies, a mother in California, 25-year-old Ariel Matthews has donated more than 175 pounds of breast milk to help other families. A year ago, on Christmas Day, Mathews unfortunately had a miscarriage. Filled with grief, she donated 1,000 oz of her breast milk to help other mothers who could not produce breast milk but wanted their children to have some.

Star Wars actress, screenwriter and speaker, Carrie Fisher has died at age 60. According to TMZ, she died this morning December 27th, just days after suffering a massive heart attack on board a flight from London to LAX. There had been reports she was in stable condition at the hospital before news of her death broke

Dolores & Trent Winstead were married for nearly 64 years. Brought together by fate, the Tennessee couple couldn't stand to be apart.
Trent, 88, was first admitted to a Nashville, Tennessee hospital on December 5 with kidney failure. His wife Dolores, 83, accompanied him to the hospital but suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage while there.
